Piers in Inhabited Islands Need More Tourism Ornaments

Piers in inhabitant islands of Seribu Islands need more ornaments for tourism attraction. Coordination between Seribu Islands Regency and UKPDs will be done to create icons for the islands.

Current pier is only built for conventional purpose, not yet for tourism purpose

Seribu Islands Assistant for Economy and Development, Iwan Pangihutan Samosir said, currently piers in Seribu Islands need to be developed, one of the purposes is to support national tourism.

"Current pier is only built for conventional purpose, not yet for tourism purpose. So it needs some tourism ornaments or visual media," he explained, Tuesday (3/6).

Pramuka Island Finally Has New Pier

He hopes there will be design for pier development next year thus inhabited islands can attract more tourists to visit.

"This can be coordinated with related sub-departments. I also want to affirm for all units, it is also applied if there is physical development activities in urban villages and sub-districts, or other UKPDs," he added.
